Felice Lesser Dance Company
LAB 101:
Open Rehearsal of excerpts from Lesser’s multi-media work, Funding the Arts
Funding the Arts is Felice Lesser’s “living cartoon,” a spy-spoof about two rogue ex-CIA agents, and their KGB counterparts, who overthrow corrupt governments around the world, using the booty to fund their first love – their ballet company. Returning to the United States post 9/11, they find themselves totally unprepared for the realities of running a “non-profit” arts organization. Looking for ways to keep their company afloat, they attempt to save the world from their arch-enemy (not to mention saving dance as an art form, as an apathetic public stays home and surfs the internet).
